Job Description

This position requires an individual who is organized, has strong attention to detail, and very strong documentation skills. Works well under pressure and is capable of meeting strict deadlines. Also is capable of learning new processes and systems, in a short amount of time. He or she must also have strong communication skills in person, over the phone and via email. Must love numbers and analysis and be capable of engaging in long reconciliation projects. Must be a team player and work well with others or alone.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing all billing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Verifying with other departments that orders have been fulfilled.
  • Preparing, issuing and sending invoices.
  • Reviewing invoices to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Reviewing contract agreements to ensure the billing of all products/services.
  • Reconciling invoices with the use of reports and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Communicating with clients and other departments, resolving issues, and providing clarifications.
  • Ensuring clients' billing accounts are set up correctly and according to their requirements.
  • Maintaining updated records of accounts receivable.
  • Preparing reports and meeting billing deadlines.
  • Learn billing processes for multiple businesses within Mitchell.
  • Assist with process documentation.
  • Handle account reconciliations, including the following:
  • Reconcile payments against open A/R
  • Effectively communicate and share reconciliation results with internal partners and customers as applicable
  • Support Finance audits
  • Support Finance Projects, including integrations and acquisitions
  • Support onboarding of new customers
  • Interface in training co-workers.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Lead/Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Billing Analyst or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Independent research and analysis - Problem solver
  • Self-starter - Takes Ownership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SQL, SharePoint, Salesforce and Netsuite is preferred, but not required.
